If you are located in Minnetonka, MN, you will have the flexibility to work from home and the office in this hybrid role* as you take on some tough challenges.

This position evaluates, conducts, analyzes, and provides guidance to the appropriate team(s) on complex H&W escalations and non-standard Level I appeal regarding enrollment/eligibility. With these escalations, this position reviews the root causes and identifies any solutions that can be put in place to reduce or eliminate errors from reoccurring. In addition, this role is responsible for health administration and operation processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide support/guidance for escalated H&W Benefits cases from Employee Center, company-wide internal and external vendors, and others within the organization. Determine root cause and identify any recommended solutions to reduce errors with Ben Admin team/Alight/UHC/Optum/EE Center. Provides consulting and interpret plan specific benefit plan details to all levels within the organization

  • Analyze and provide recommendations to enhance the employee experience based on employee feedback including surveys and reporting

  • Manage Survivor Navigator including reviewing survivor navigator outlines (Benefits Analyst to do) to provide to HCAs, review Survivor Navigator calls, and ongoing meetings with HCAs to receive feedback

  • Manage and analyze complex Level I eligibility/enrollment appeals by reviewing, if any similar past escalations, review SPD, requirements, etc. to determine, if can allow approval. Provide decisions and guidance to Alight partners for denials on difficult issues

  • Support customized activities related to Benefit plans/processes/policies (e.g., terminations, transfers, integrations)

  • Provide training and education on H&W benefits-related tools/processes/issues to applicable audiences (Alight, HCA, , PBP, Employee Relations, OPS provider liaisons, etc.) including culture trainings as needed

  • Partner and collaborate with Health & Wellness Administration team and external busines partners on process improvement and enrollment system testing while reviewing and recommending enhancements

  • Back-up to Health & Wellness Payroll, Health Administration mailbox, Service Now Requests, and manage various legal and outside requests

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of benefits, payroll, customer service or HR experience

  • Proficiency in MS Office with strength in Excel

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines

  • Knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, Section 125, and other benefit legal and regulatory requirements
