UnitedHealth Group Senior Benefit Analyst, Financial Well-being - Remote in Minnetonka, Minnesota

The Retirement Benefits and Financial Well-being Senior Analyst for UnitedHealth Group will assist in the research and evaluation of qualified and non-qualified plan retirement plan design options as well as changes or additions to other financial benefit programs to support our most important asset - our employees. This individual will assist in ensuring cost, related laws and regulations, and ongoing administrative impact are understood. This individual will help coordinate financial wellbeing content delivery to our employees, such as: webinars, in-person education, tools, and financial well-being materials. Support the review and/or creation of employee communication materials such as enrollment guides, benefit resources, and plan design change notices.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support Tuition Reimbursement program, manage exception requests and collaborate with internal teams to improve employee experience

  • Assist in making changes to improve employee outcomes, reduce risk, improve efficiency and maintain adherence to laws and regulations

  • Research best-in-class processes and innovations among peer companies, consultants and vendors and prepare recommendations to leaders

  • Assist with data analysis for costs of implementation and ongoing administration for new financial benefit programs and design changes

  • Prepare data and reporting needed to evaluate financial benefit program changes, additions, and success measures

  • Support relationships with third-party record keepers, vendors and consultants

  • Aid in development and execution of projects in partnership with human capital, legal, finance, accounting, payroll, communications, information technology, data analytics, and other internal and external partners

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and controls, and with the laws, regulations and rules issued or enforced by state, Federal and foreign regulatory authorities related to program implementation and adherence

  • Participate in the management of projects and creation of presentations to track progress and outline program design change options and recommendations, among other topics

  • Assist with the preparation, review and distribution of retirement and other financial benefit and financial well-being communications

  • Act as a resource for others on the topics of financial well-being, plan communications, and retirement and other financial program design

  • Collaborate with the administration team, vendors, and technical experts on the implementation of new plans, program features and changes

  • Work with the administration, communications, technical, and vendor teams to implement plan design changes and additions according to best practices

  • Review communication drafts to ensure accuracy, detail, and completeness as related to other actions which may impact the receiving audience

  • Stay up to date on trends and developments related to qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, financial benefits such as the credit union, emergency savings and 529 plans, including legal and regulatory updates and market trends

  • Stay informed on plan sponsor financial benefit trends and related HR programs

  • Understand core diversity, equity and inclusion tenets in order to develop and implement diverse and inclusive solutions within benefit programs and financial well-being content

  • Provide assistance, when needed, to support administrative team in daily operations and special projects

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of benefit plan experience including plan sponsor, consulting or vendor administration experience with retirement plans, financial well-being and tuition reimbursement programs

  • Project Management experience

  • Proven ability to work in a team environment with a client service focus

  • Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion

  • Proven ability to manage time well, prioritize effectively and handle multiple deadlines simultaneously

  • Proven solid ability to use Office tools - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Proven solid interpersonal, communication and collaborative team skills. Ability to effectively interact with and influence all levels of internal and external business partners

  • Proven solid analytical, consultative, and facilitation skills

  • Proven organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proven public speaking and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience reviewing employee communications for accuracy

  • Technical knowledge of administrative practices and all pertinent federal and state regulations affecting retirement programs

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
