This role will work cross-functionally to build relationships across the Enterprise, developing a deep understanding of both the evolving supplier management practices of the organization as well as the business areas and categories supported. This role will provide the Enterprise with centralized risk and performance management services for the top strategic supply base, setting the standard for strong risk and performance management across the organization. PrimaryResponsibilities:

  • Execute supplier risk and performance management frameworkfor Enterprise strategic suppliers, ensuring risk mitigation, contractcompliance, and performance standards are achieved throughout the supplierlifecycle

  • Influence, educate, and drive accountability with businessstakeholders and suppliers for performance and risk compliance, ensuringadherence to policies, standards, and procedures

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships withCategory Managers, business stakeholders, Optum and UHC Vendor ManagementOffices, and suppliers, driving and delivering results through agreed uponstrategies

  • Ensuresuppliers are compliant with both risk and performance contractual obligations,including up-to-date certifications and documentation in systems of record

  • Proactivelyidentify supplier issues, monitoring internal and external sources for indicatorsof market risk, and collaboratively drive issues to resolution, monitoring progressto closure for risks including financial viability, information securitycontrol remediation, regulatory compliance, and vendor performance issues

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure suitablebusiness continuity plans are in place; including total vendor loss contingencyplans, incident (breach) response and, when necessary, supplierterminations / transitions

  • Develop innovative solutions for process challengeswithin a dynamic and highly-matrixed corporate environment

  • Support integration efforts of newly-acquired businessunits into standard Enterprise Vendor Risk and Performance Management programs

  • Conduct or actively participate in Periodic BusinessReviews with suppliers and various internal stakeholders

  • Influence and assist vendors in the completion ofsupplier questionnaires and risk mitigation requirements

RequiredQualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 6+ years of experience in operations, procurement,sourcing, or supplier management

  • Intermediate or higher skill level with MicrosoftOffice Suite

  • Experiencemanaging multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

  • Experienceindependently navigating and resolving complex issues

  • Experience with creative problem solving and strategicthinking

  • Experienceinfluencing behavior through effective written and oral communications withstrong presentation skills

  • Based in Minnetonka, MN
