UnitedHealth Group Sr Product Manager - Financial, Ancillary, M&R - Remote in Minnesota

This Medicare & Retirement Product Manager is responsible for the development, management and implementation or sun setting of Ancillary products for M&R and C&S Dual Special Needs Plan (DSNP) Medicare Advantage products.

As an M&R Senior Product Manager, you will establish collaborative relationships with external and internal stakeholders, identify objectives and initiatives to guide vendor initiatives, conduct regular status meetings to review issue resolution, project status, plan yearly benefit implementations, and evaluate overall product performance. You will gather competitor information as needed and inform benefit decision making each year if necessary and strategically think about how the consumer experience should work compared to current status.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support development and design of financial technology solutions leverage business partner integrations and cross functional solutions

  • Support the annual Medicare Advantage product planning process and participate in ad hoc projects for executives, corporate requests, and business partners

  • Assist in the development of executive reporting and documentation of financial technology strategy

  • Support the creative development of executive presentations and materials for product and technology overview sessions

  • Participate in project-based work that involves working with functional areas within Product and the broader Medicare & Retirement and UHG organization

  • Participate in analytical, experimental, investigative and other fact-finding work to provide data-driven insights to support product development strategies

  • Conduct or lead research initiatives that support innovation and financial technology strategy development

  • Analyze and stay up to data on industry trends, customer needs, competitive threats, expansion opportunities and internal performance. Ensure the voice of the consumer is represented in strategic planning discussions

  • Work in a team environment both within the Product Strategy team and with cross-functional partners

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience

  • Healthcare Insurance experience

  • Experience with Payment Card Industry and/or Financial Technology

  • Demonstrated ability of working with urgency in managing projects or time sensitive commitments

  • Demonstrated ability to interface and present to senior management effectively

  • Proven organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity

  • MS Office skills at an intermediate to advanced level with emphasis on MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Medicare experience

  • 5+ years of experience with product planning/strategy

  • Experience with developing creative materials and presentations

  • Ability to quickly aggregate and analyze information and draw conclusions

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a matrix environment

  • Ability to use excellent collaboration skills, drive for results and organizational excellence

  • Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only : The Salary range for Colorado Connecticut and Nevada residents is $97,300 to 176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
