  • Insurance experience. Wholesaling of life insurance and disability income insurance.

Regional Sales Specialist - Life

Responsibilities:

  • Make proactive outbound calls to prospect new advisor relationships as well as maintain existing advisor relationships.

  • Meet with advisors to identify new sales opportunities and follow up on existing opportunities.

  • Demonstrated use of the Quality Sales Call (QSC) sales process.

  • Conduct Point of Sale meetings with the advisor and their client as subject matter expert on RiverSource products, strategies, and process.

  • Be well versed in positioning all RiverSource life insurance and disability products, strategies, and marketing tools.

  • Adhering to RiverSource brand approved sales concepts.

  • Build and maintain relationships with territory partners such as RVP, RSD, field leaders and others.

  • Use software, including proprietary programs, to research, log activity, and run hypothetical scenarios.

  • Utilize reports to understand activity, pending business, and sales results in your region.

Required Qualifications:

  • Past wholesaling or direct selling of financial products experience.

  • Proven ability to establish rapport and credibility quickly with advisors, clients, and field leaders.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

  • Effective presentation skills. Experience using virtual communication methods such as Microsoft Teams.

  • Certifications Required (indicate):Resident State Securities & Resident Insurance License (Health, Life & Variable)

  • Series 6/7

  • Series 63/66
