The Role

Thermo King Americas has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to lead our Aftermarket Product Management team. This person will lead a team of Product Managers tasked with setting the strategic direction of our service parts and accessory categories. As a key member of the Aftermarket Leadership Team, this person will be responsible for refining and executing the growth strategy and will provide coaching in standard work, process improvements and best practices for life-cycle management. We are looking for someone with an in-depth understanding in Product Management, solid business and financial acumen and effective people leadership capability to help us meet organic revenue growth targets and increase market share and contribution margins.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Lead and ensure all categories of parts are being managed throughout the product lifecycle

  • Define opportunities for VAVE and localization and coordinate efforts with appropriate functional leads to execute

  • Work closely with the regional sales and marketing teams to ensure that their needs are understood and clearly represented in the parts growth strategy

  • Support product managers to clearly define the market segments that we currently participate in and the value that we offer customers in those segments

  • Identify new segments to help drive profitable growth

  • Define the competitive landscape and develop data to clearly articulate the category value propositions

  • Develop and present new business opportunities

  • Participate as a senior leader in monthly phase gate reviews to drive consistency in the NPD process and in monthly Quality & Reliability reviews to ensure that our products continue to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations

Candidate Profile

Professional Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • 3+ years product management experience, 7+ years of related experience

  • Leadership experience highly preferred.

  • Demonstrated success developing product strategies and defining and launching products

  • Strong overall business and financial acumen

  • Experience managing people and/or influencing cross-functional teams

  • Compelling written and verbal communication skills

  • Passion for process improvement and change agent abilities

  • Ability to collaborate, aligning external customer needs and Thermo King goals

  • Up to 15% Travel Required
