Ameriprise Financial Paralegal, Legal Affairs in Minneapolis, Minnesota
We have an exciting opportunity at Ameriprise as a Paralegal. Come be a part of an amazing team and assist attorneys in executing legal transactions in support of insurance company matters. Manage variable insurance product SEC registration statements and prospectuses. Manage FINRA Form BD filings. Research laws, draft correspondence, and respond to various internal and external requests. Collaborate across the General Counsel's Office (GCO) and business to perform various tasks. Key Responsibilities:
ManageannualupdateofvariablelifeinsuranceproductSECfilings.
Lead and train on all matters associated with SEC filings, including the use of ArcProspectus content management system.
Draftvariableinsurance product prospectuslanguageandsupportproductdevelopmentinitiatives. Manage FINRA Form BD filings.
Respond to auditor requests associated with registration statements.
Workonspecialprojectsandinitiativesasrequested.
Required Qualifications:
Associate degreeorequivalent(2years)
3-5 years relevant experience.
Strong experience with preparing and filing registration statements with the SEC.
Solid drafting and research skills.
Solidanalyticalskills.
Highlyorganizedand detail oriented.
Makes decisions quickly and appropriately using extensive expertise.Advancedsubjectmatterexpertiseinbusinessareabeingsupported.
Ability to learn and utilize new tools and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
ParalegalCertificatefromABAapprovedprogramorequivalenteducation/experience.
Strong experience with ArcProspectus that is sufficient to train and support others in the use of such system.
Strong experience with an internet-based prospectus content management system.
Corporate governance experience.

Base Pay Salary
New York Residents Only: The estimated base salary for this role is $90,300 - $121,800 / year. Base salaries are determined in part based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that support all aspects of your health and well-being.
