Job Description

U.S. Bank is currently seeking a Freight Payment Implementation Consultant who will:

  • Collaborate as part of a multi-functional team responsible for implementing a web-based, business-to-business Freight Audit and Payment application for a broad client base, including Fortune 500 and other globally recognized companies

  • Drive solution delivery in a highly visible external customer-facing role, interfacing with logistics, finance and IT functions at all levels of the client organization

  • Consult with client team to translate complex Freight Audit and Payment requirements, from external customers, into innovative payment process solutions to meet a growing demand for payment automation

  • Influence client adherence to industry best practices to promote business and operational efficiency.

  • Coordinate and/or execute system solutions design, systems integration, validation testing, and training activities from solution sale through operational handoff.

  • Assure implementation project schedule and delivery effectiveness using multiple project management controls and communication tools.

  • Refine and exercise a diverse range of functional, leadership, and professional skills with a cross-functional team, including implementation, operations, configuration, data exchange, product development, and finance functions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Three to five years of experience in project management activities

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience managing or supporting system implementation for Transportation Management System, ERP, financial system, IT system implementation projects or other cross-functional / solution delivery projects desired.

  • Freight and/or logistics domain experience a plus.

  • Self-starter with ability to quickly learn in, and adapt to, a very dynamic functional and operational domain.

  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, prioritization, and planning skills.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong collaborator, and ability to work closely within a dynamic team.

  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, team-building, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong situational leadership, dispute/conflict resolution and customer service skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.

  • Accounts payable or financial / payment process experience a plus.

  • PMP certification a plus.

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow a plus.

  • Able to travel up to 10% of the time
