Summary
This position will be responsible for supporting the overall HR function in a variety of tasks supporting the recruitment, development and retention of Kraus-Anderson’s employees. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Support
Assists in the coordination and execution of recruitment activities, including job postings, initial candidate review and screening, and interview scheduling.
Schedules and coordinates interviews, both in-person and virtual, ensuring alignment with candidate availability and interviewer schedules.
Communicates interview details to candidates and provides them with necessary information, such as interview location, directions, and logistics.
Prepares and distributes interview materials, including candidate profiles, interview guides, and assessment forms.
Coordinates travel arrangements and accommodations for out-of-town candidates, if required.
Coordinates and participates in recruitment events, such as job fairs and campus recruiting initiatives.
Candidate and Hew-Hire Experience
Serves as a point of contact for candidates and newly-hired employees, providing timely and professional communication throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
Coordinates all new hire materials, schedules, and activities.
Schedules 30, 60, 90 day and first year “check –ins” for all new hires with key members of the HR team
Coordinates and assists with all monthly orientation events.
Supports the KAmbassador mentorship program
Continuously improves the candidate and new hire experience by identifying areas for enhancement and implementing process improvements.
Campus Recruitment
Coordinates and supports all Fall & Spring Campus recruitment events.
Schedules all activities with campus career offices and program leaders.
Supports the Summer Internship Program (to include onboarding, the summer Intern Summit, scheduling “end of summer” presentations)
Attends campus events when necessary.
Learning & Development
- Kraus-Anderson University (KAU) Support:
- Maintain the scheduling for and the set up/take down of the Training Room for KAU events, Well-being events and other KA meetings as needed (supplies, meals, etc.)
- Work in Learning Management System, LMS to:
Enter courses and classes.
Print sign-in sheets, record attendance, coordinate class evaluations and update records.
Run reports and share with appropriate KA staff
Documenting safety courses in the KAU system and filing in the Safety folder
LDP program – application process management and scheduling of classes.
Support of annual Kraus-Anderson Company Fall Seminar
General Department Support
Administrative support for all HR team Directors (TA, L&D, Generalist, and DEI) and Total Rewards Senior Manager (routine meeting scheduling, making copies, mail etc.)
HQ floor seating chart updates and other routine updates needed by HR team to Kraus Haus (intranet portal)
New hire/departure/anniversary post drafting for Kraus Haus
Respond to general employee inquiries and redirect more complex issues to the appropriate HR personnel.
Assist in the preparation and distribution of HR-related documents, reports, and presentations.
Support employee programs and events (perqs, wellness fairs, internal DEI programming)
Support Sr. Benefits Manager with Metro Pass enrollment and maintenance.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High School diploma or GED.
Strong organizational skills are essential.
Demonstrated computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, PPT, Excel, and Outlook).
Ability to quickly learn and establish proficiency in software collaboration tools (WEBEX, Teams, Zoom, Office 365, etc.).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment (listen, collaborate, and communicate).
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines consistently.
Strong attention to detail and consistency in work product.
Must effectively and professionally interact with a variety of people and situations.
Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee data, as well as information shared or acquired through position within the HR team.
Ability to possess and maintain exceptional work ethic and uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1-3 years of experience in a related position with similar skills
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline preferred
Knowledge and proficiency working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ADP) and learning management tools (Badiyan or ADP)
