Ameriprise Financial Fund Accounting Intern in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Ready to launch your career? The Columbia Threadneedle Investments intern program is designed to provide students with first-hand investment management experience. The Fund Accountant intern will assist in supporting all the daily accounting functions for the Columbia Threadneedle mutual funds.

Key Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the accurate calculation and reporting of NAVs, AUVs, and distributions for shareholders under direct supervision.

Responsibilities vary depending on assigned projects(s) and may include:

  • Tasks include reconciling daily cash positions, analyzing daily income, balancing security positions, and compiling monthly financial information for reporting.

  • Work will be done on domestic mutual/life/trust funds of low to moderate complexity/volume.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Junior at a 4-year university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related degree

  • Graduation date of December 2025 or May/June 2026

Preferred Qualifications

  • High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics

  • Proven organization skills and ability to manage time effectively

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

  • Ability to work and communicate collaboratively and constructively with others

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
