Summary

This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing various data for greater management insight.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis

  • Prepares and presents reports of various financial results and projections.

  • Assists with the forecasting, budgeting, and financial statement audit processes.

  • Performs prequalification process for vendors and subcontractors, including developing custom approach to mitigate risk

  • Analyzes the financial performance of Kraus-Anderson’s (KA) insurance and warranty programs and identifies opportunities, trends, and anomalies.

  • Identifies and updates detailed projections to analytical approaches, including per headcount, per automobile, etc.

  • Performs project cost reviews for KA’s large scale projects.

  • Helps organize and maintain financial data in various systems.

Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Support

  • Assists in the review and maintenance of KPI dashboards and organizational goal / metric tracking.

  • Analyzes output from KPI dashboards and presents findings to the relevant stakeholders as necessary.

  • Works collaboratively with other departments in the development of new metrics where appropriate.

Other Duties

  • Manages IRS §179D deduction process with external consultant, including identifying high-potential projects, coordinating with operational employees for interviews, gathering necessary documentation, and enhancing other processes to maximize deductions.

  • Oversees budgeting and forecasting of labor productivity with intent to enhance existing process.

  • Helps perform Return on Investment (ROI) for capital expenditures and other ad hoc analysis.

  • Performs analysis on new and existing projects to ensure compliance with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from four-year college/university or equivalent combination of education

  • Demonstrated computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook) and knowledge of general accounting software

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

  • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals

  • Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

  • Ability to possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 3-5 years related work experience

  • Knowledge of Viewpoint Vista software

  • Knowledge of Prophix software

  • Experience in the construction industry
