Summary
This position will be responsible for partnering with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) on strategies for Kraus-Andersons (KA) on organizational and IT Services support. This role involves managing the IT infrastructure, ensuring data security, implementing technology strategies, and leading a team of IT professionals to support the organization's goals. The IT Director works closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration and efficient technology solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Management:
Align and strategize with CIO regarding organizational IT planning and support
Develop new network troubleshooting strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs
Create strategies for managing and upgrading company’s network infrastructure and architecture.
Oversee the IT budget for Construction, ensuring cost-effective technology investments.
Identify and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and support business objectives.
IT Infrastructure and Operations:
Stays up to date with new network technology and reports/present relevant information to the CIO and executive team with recommendations quarterly.
Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, cloud, servers, and software.
Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of IT systems.
Oversee the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
Manage relationship with vendors and 3 rd party solution providers to manage and maintain the technical infrastructure
Team Leadership and Development:
Partner with the CIO to drive the strategy of the IT department and organization and create an inclusive culture to embrace change, innovation and technology.
Direct supervisory responsibility for leading the: IT Support Manager, Database Administrator, Mobile Tech Lead, and Help Desk Team.
Responsible for the growth and development of direct reports. Providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance.
Ability to lead and work with others cooperatively; recognize and reward people for their achievements; and provides constructive and timely coaching, performance assessment and feedback.
Security and Compliance:
- Implements companywide technology updates and holds informational sessions to teach employees new features or how to use the technology.
Project Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
Ve ndor and Stakeholder Management:
Support relationships with external vendors and service providers.
Partner with CIO to negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms.
Partners with department leaders to assess growth needs and maintenance of the company’s network
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelors degree
10 + years experience in IT infrastructure, systems and applications
5 + years experience in a strategic leadership position
Strong knowledge of data security and compliance requirements
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong background demonstrating strategic planning and project management abilities
Demonstrated computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals
Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Ability to possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Masters degree in computer science, business administration or related field.
Other:
Valid Driver's License, ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record, and ability to adhere to the KA Motor Vehicle Policy.
Travel up to 20%
