Description
The Credit Loss Allowance Financial Analyst updates analysis and reporting evaluating lifetime loss reserve estimates. Effective communication skills, business knowledge, and expertise in financial and credit risk analytics, will ensure a successful execution of this function.
Responsibilities
Update allowance documentation and reporting to communicate key credit information in executive management reports, regulatory reporting, and other risk management and financial reporting functions.
Develop analytics and procedures to support calculation, reporting, and forecasting of loan loss allowance components.
Develop new reports and schedules to improve transparency in credit risk trends affecting business line and product line provision results and forecasts.
Investigate and interpret various data and reports on credit quality levels and trends. Solicit information from subject matter experts in credit risk management and quantitative model development and validation.
Maintain documentation of procedures and retain documentation of reporting for audit evidence.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
5 to 7 years of experience in credit analysis or financial reporting
Preferred Skills/Experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong proficiency in creating executive communication materials
Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in the data
Advanced analytical skills, including Microsoft Excel
Exposure to data reporting and querying tools
Knowledge of accounting, finance, economics, and / or credit risk management
Familiarity with financial statements
