The person in this position will be responsible for managing construction-phase services, including contract administration and construction monitoring, from pre-construction through project startup. Other responsibilities may include coordinating with clients, responding to RFIs, processing change orders, reviewing shop drawings, monitoring site construction activities for conformance with project plans, preparing daily field reports of construction activities, and conducting site investigations. The work will be related primarily to industrial processing facilities, power plants, refineries, and other heavy industrial facilities. The work will involve out-of-town assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Related construction management experience or bachelor’s degree in construction management engineering

  • 3 or more years of related work experience

  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering plans

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software

  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

  • Willingness to work cooperatively in a project team environment that encourages self-initiative

  • Demonstrated project organization and management skills

  • Flexible working style as required to meet deadlines and/or client needs

  • Acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of related work experience

  • Background/experience working on industrial projects

  • Experience with construction management software

  • Experience with cost and schedule management

NOTE: Some work locations may feature rough terrain typical of industrial sites and may also require entering and working within facilities that include limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities. Safety training will be provided for work in these areas.
