Thermo King is hiring a Service Leader to manage our Bus HVAC Service team , coordinating all internal- and external-facing facets related to Service. To thrive in this role, you will interface with external customers and internal associates everyday to drive Bus HVAC service issues to resolution, creating a positive customer experience. Your team will include Bus HVAC Regional Service Manager direct reports.

Where is the work:

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (3 or more days onsite per week) based out of Minneapolis, MN .

What you will do:

  • Service team people leader: Effectively attract, coach, counsel, train and develop regional service managers; Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment; Encourage knowledge-sharing and teamwork

  • Direct customer interaction: Field and respond to technical support requests (answer phone and online inquiries; create self-service knowledge articles) from both Dealers and customers; Attend industry trade shows and Transit Roadeos (service competitions); Periodic travel to customer sites will be required, which may include working outdoors and working in maintenance facilities

  • Service thought leadership for entirety of Bus product portfolio: Participate in new product development and quality/reliability projects from incident identification through project completion; Provide technical guidance and input to the publications team for bulletins, manuals, etc.; Gather service-related voice of customer and disseminate to internal teams for product development and improvement; Create and manage standard repair times for warranty and campaigns

  • Internal communication, process navigation and leadership report-outs: Manage campaigns, warranty and commercial policy processes; Participate in regular cadence of leadership report-outs; Create and present content for annual internal service conference and technician competitions

What you will bring:

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing technical service role

  • Seven (7) years’ experience in service and/or customer-focused role

  • 4-year degree preferred, mix of education and experience will be considered

  • Experience managing teams of people and complex processes preferred

  • Hands-on HVAC, refrigeration, or other vehicle-related service experience a plus

Compensation:

Annual base compensation: $114,700 – 152,300

Additional Compensation: Total compensation for this role also will include an incentive plan.
