What you’ll do

Wealth & Asset Management Interns are a critical part of our team, who ultimately serve a broad client base and aid in revenue generation on behalf of the Bank. Throughout our 10-week paid internship, you’ll learn finance principles and skills through accelerated formal training, mentorship and a community of peers and advisors.

Wealth & Asset Management business lines are set out to serve and meet our clients’ needs, while achieving key growth metrics to expand our assets under management. During your internship, you will be exposed to different functions, giving you experience across the lifecycle of a client relationship. Functions may include project or program management; process or policy development and execution; quantitative and qualitative analysis; presentations and reporting; and client services.

As a Wealth & Asset Management Intern, you’ll:

  • Perform research, analysis, development, implementation, and monitoring of new and/or revised products or services.

  • Analyze current costs, cost savings and enhanced benefits that may be achieved by implementing a new solution or recommendation.

  • Compile, review and analyze information for an assigned project or area, and make recommendations based on findings.

  • Co-lead and influence a working team of project staff.

  • Act as a project liaison with other departments.

Are you interested learning how financial products can be the right tool to improve others’ financial situations? If you are business-savvy, with strong communications, leadership, and project management skills, then the Wealth & Asset Management Internship may be right for you!

Basic qualifications:

  • Four-year college undergraduate student who has completed their junior year

  • Basic understanding of financial or accounting terms, concepts, and applications

  • Ability to start a summer internship on June 9, 2025

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to think and work independently within a professional setting

  • Coursework or extracurricular activities related to Finance, Accounting or Treasury

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Flexibility to work within a multi-discipline team and receive dynamic on-the-job training

  • Highly organized; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

Working model and hours:

This role will be based in a hub. Team members in hubs are expected to spend three days a week in-office with flexibility on their work location the other working days. Rotational program analysts/interns work approximately 40 hours per week in this role.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $20.63 - $27.50 - $30.25
