Facebook Consumer Product Marketing Manager, Health & Social Impact in Menlo Park, California

Summary:

The Health Team focuses on bringing people and organizations together to improve health. Among other things, the team is responsible for our Blood Donations tool, Preventive Health tool, and Facebook’s COVID-19 response. We work closely with individuals, caregivers, clinicians, and public health experts, helping them make the best use of our platform to achieve shared goals around improving health.

As the Consumer Product Marketing Manager leading health and social impact initiatives you will be responsible for all aspects of consumer marketing to achieve our company objectives around health and social impact related priorities. These initiatives include driving awareness, informational and behavioral objectives surrounding topics like flu and childhood vaccinations and COVID-19 preventive behaviors, as well as supporting efforts around wellbeing including mental health. In owning the consumer marketing, you will partner with cross functional stakeholders to develop and lead marketing strategy (e.g. audience definition, value proposition/positioning), go-to-market plans, research agendas, outbound advertising and social campaigns on and off-platform, and performance assessment. This is an exciting and varied portfolio of work with tremendous global visibility and scale.

Our ideal candidate brings both go-to-market, outbound marketing acumen, as well as, strategic and analytic thought leadership to help shape product strategy. This person has a passion to be the consumer advocate and understands trends in relevant spaces, different global market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and, most importantly, how to positively impact consumer sentiment and drive new behavior.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead, influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (including Product, Research, Public Relations, Design, Engineering and more) to deliver world-class consumer marketing programs.

  2. Influence business direction and develop strategic product input and positioning through a strong understanding of the broader Facebook ecosystem and competitive landscape.

  3. Be a thought leader and champion for the consumer, utilizing quantitative and qualitative insights to influence product strategy, product positioning, and product launch strategy.

  4. Ensure the success of product launches via thorough go-to-market planning and execution.

  5. Establish clear KPIs for the team and own the relationship with analytics to ensure there is an impactful testing agenda and measurement plan in place.

  6. Develop integrated global marketing and advertising strategies and programs to drive consumer awareness and adoption.

  7. Effectively build and manage key agency relationships to ensure world-class creative.

  8. Manage budget to drive impact and ROI through marketing programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years of general marketing experience, particularly launching & scaling consumer apps or products.

  2. 5+ years of product marketing experience in consumer driven industries.

  3. Experience in and affinity for health and social impact.

  4. Experience scaling teams, influencing cross-functional teams.

  5. Experience partnering with product teams to identify and bring to market solutions, including representing market requirements with cross-functional partners to drive product launch strategies and ongoing lifecycle/engagement marketing.

  6. Experience developing marketing strategies and translating those strategies into plans.

  7. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive results and alignment.

  8. Experience developing and executing against global launch plans that bring products to market.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Mix of strategy consulting, product management and consumer product marketing experience.
