Citizens Home Mortgage Capital Markets Senior Business Analyst in Melville, New York

Description

As the Home Mortgage Senior Business Analyst, you will work independently, and receive minimal guidance while, completing elements in the definition, requirements, design, build and delivery of a project or program. This may include analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. You will also play a key role in project management and use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications. By acting as a resource for other team members, you will create and foster a climate of continuous improvement in delivering projects, striving for excellence and contributing to the overall development of Citizens Change Management.

Primary responsibilities include

  • Responsible for requirements elicitation and analysis, which includes collaborating with stakeholders to elicit, document and analyze business requirements.

  • Responsible for project support and collaboration, which involves providing support to project teams, ensuring business requirements are accurately implemented.

  • Responsible for the creation, and ongoing maintenance and testing of interfaces from our Loan Origination Systems to our Risk Management System to ensure all data required for delivery of loans to FNMA, FHLMC and GNMA are available enabling further mapping within the MISMO merge for accurate delivery of all data points to our investors in conformance with the Uniform Loan Delivery Dataset requirements.

  • Responsible for the creation, and ongoing maintenance and testing of LQA and Early Check files in QRM as Agency changes occur.

  • Support colleagues by creating/running/maintaining SQL queries on the LOS Database as well as the Product and Pricing Engine database of rules.

Additional responsibilities may include

  • Reporting of productivity, quality, and other ad hoc requirements in an accurate and timely manner

  • Requires the application of various methods, procedures, and knowledge of the business unit’s product(s) and system application(s)

  • Performs routine, analytical review of data and/or documentation which may include customer data and/or review for fraud/risk activities.

  • Perform other such duties as assigned including trouble shooting operational issues

  • Participate in projects requiring coordination with other teams

  • Manage competing priorities in an accurate and timely manner

  • Utilize department specific system applications

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • Knowledge of mortgage products and the life cycle of a mortgage loan is required.

  • Knowledge of SQL is required.

  • Knowledge of Uniform Loan Delivery Dataset requirements is required.

  • 5+ years, Experience in analysis, financial services industry, or business line experience a plus

  • Knowledge of QRM is preferred.

  • Organization skills

  • Solid ability to multi-task

  • Solid customer service skills

  • Proficiency in PC skills and MS Office

  • Solid analytical skills

  • Solid written and verbal communication

  • Capacity to work independently

  • Bachelors Degree Preferred

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40

  • Work Schedule: 8:00 to 5:00 Monday thru Friday
