Tufts Medicine Surgical Technologist in Melrose, Massachusetts

Location: Melrose Wakefield Hospital 585 Lebanon St., Melrose, MA
The Surgical Technologist, under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, is responsible for the care and safety of surgical patients. This role is responsible for assisting the physician with the preparation of and the technical aspects of the role of the scrub person during surgical procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program OR Massachusetts's Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Surgical Technologist certification through an accredited program or within 12 months of completing program.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) years of Operating Room Experience.
