Responsible for planning, monitoring, forecasting, and analyzing demand in SKU / product / family / sub-channel / channel / aggregate levels. The ideal candidate will have a proven analytical background and familiarity with a well-defined SIOP process. Create a 3-12-18 month rolling unconstrained demand forecast leveraging historical data and trends, customer input, including point of sale data, input from sales, and expected promotional activity while also layering in market intelligence. Evaluate forecast results by reviewing historical sales trends and researching demand drivers. Identify and action visible trends within the various sales channels. Compare forecasts to the financial budgets providing an overview of variances and risk. Refine the forecasts to reflect trends and updated sales and marketing assumptions as needed. Track and reconcile metrics versus established targets, including forecast accuracy and bias. Compile forecast accuracy data and develop proactive action plans to address issues/gaps. Provide slides and analytics during the monthly Demand review meeting. Lead monthly demand review meetings and identify key opportunities or risks that should be reported during the Executive SIOP meeting

In this position, you will be accountable for:

  • Build a mid to long term unconstrained Demand Plan (quarter / year timeframe) to align operational capabilities with business strategic targets

  • Drive fast and real time update for Demand changes in the market, anticipate trends and risks, propose scenario analysis

  • Deliver short term excellence on Forecast accuracy in line with business needs

  • Lead product transition phase-in / phase-out from Demand Planning perspective and forecast accuracy optimization

  • Lead a cross functional agenda to continuously shape-up Demand Plan according to best supply chain and business environment conditions

  • Develop, implement and execute an agenda of continuous improvement - transformational and organic development

  • Build a high-performance team / Implement employee development program

  • To be instrumental for a profitable demand-driven fulfillment operation

  • Promote integration across the end to end value chain to allow educated business decisions and drive results

  • Promote SIOP methodology and its best in class processes, programs and systems

Summary:

Qualifications

Project & development management skills 10 to 12 years of practical demand planning experience in high paced work environment

Experience in SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) methodology

Strong analytical and Statistical methods

Ability to develop and implement Demand Segmentation to build strong forecast

Understanding of business / go to market / supply chain end to end

Good understanding of product portfolio / market and channel / customer service

Good understanding of business financials and basic P&L construction

Possess strong analytical and decision-making skills

Ability to communicate/present in one-on-one, small group, or large group settings

A passion Demand Planning function and its continuous improvement

Power Point / Excel / etc - presentation tools

SAP / ERP system experience - future development

Manage multiple priorities

Strong problem-solving skills

Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Access

Strong communication (verbal and written), presentation and interpersonal skills.

Results oriented focused individual with a continuous improvement mindset.

Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.

Ability to handle multiple project assignments in a timely manner

Ability to work in cross functional teams

Ability to identify opportunities by analyzing large amounts of data in multiple formats

Data management

Familiar with JDE ERP or comparable ERP system

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or related field

  • Master`s degree is desirable

  • APICS certification is a plus
