Sutter Health Manager, Data Applications- Enterprise Data Management in Mather Field, California

Position Overview:

Provides strong leadership for the Enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Lake environment teams. Be able to steer a large data infrastructure through a period of rapid growth and change. Envisions and drives new data management solutions that improve access to clinical and operational data. A hands-on superintendent of activities performed by DW administrators, technical analysts, and DBA’s, enables adoption of Agile Kanban and Scrum methodology. Manages vendor relationships, defines technical environment resource requirements, and oversees technical projects. Guides rigorous testing with a focus on validity and integrity of data sources. The position is a bridge-builder, working with architects and business leadership to ensure data systems conform to enterprise strategy for Data Warehouse and Big Data. Works closely with managers of Epic Cogito Reporting, Data Engineering, Data Science and Business Intelligence teams, shares their accountability for quality of data available for analysis and development. A planner and a doer, this visionary manager assists in identification of areas for technical improvement, guides adoption of new data technologies. Oversees collection and validation of environmental metrics. Maintains standards for technical documentation, including procedure manuals, environment diagrams and runbooks. Oversees professional development for all technical staff members. This position includes supervisory duties. Less than 5% travel is required to other Sutter facilities.

Qualifications:

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a closely-related field of concentration.

Experience Requirement: 8 years in job offered or Data Warehouse Developer, Data Developer, ETL Developer – related occupation.

Specific Requirement: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a closely-related field of concentration plus 8 years in job offered or Data Warehouse Developer, Data Developer, ETL Developer – related occupation.

Education or Experience must include 8 years of experience in the following:

1) ETL Development using Informatica.

2) Datawarehouse/Datamarts and real time analytics data methodologies.

3) SQL and PLSQL Database structure skills.

4) Analytical and problem-solving skills.

5) ETL Development and production support.

Education or Experience must include 5 years of experience in the following:

1) Data Visualization/ BI technologies and tools using Business objects, Cognos, MicroStrategy

Education or Experience must include 1 year of experience in the following

1) ETL development using SAP Data services

2) Data mining and programming languages

3) Big Data technologies (Cloudera Hadoop & SAP HANA)

4) Create Metrics, measures and KPIs;
