This position has the flexibility to telework. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent may be expected to work in the office on occasion.
This position is a CO St. Paul job, but we will allow a various permanent work location at one of the following sites:
St. Paul, Bemidji, Saint Cloud, Rochester, Mankato & Willmar.
This position will lead MNDOT engineers, technicians and business staff in the effective use of the agency's CADD\Civil Engineering software (OpenRoads Designer) and CADD-Document Management System (ProjectWise) and Bluebeam plan review software through technical support, operational guidance and issues resolution.
MnDOT does not sponsor applicants for visas or Optional Practical Exam for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment.
Minimum Qualifications
Three years para-engineering experience (Transportation Specialist or equivalent) that demonstrates knowledge of:
· Experience with construction specifications, standard details, standard plates and special provisions;
· Experience with roadway design OR: bridge design; hydraulics design; right of way mapping; surveying; photogrammetrics; construction - sufficient to analyze, recommend and create CAD and Engineering application standards;
· Experience troubleshooting CADD\Civil-engineering systems (OpenRoads Designer and PowerGEOPAK issues or equivalent software);
· Experience with CADD\Civil-engineering systems (OpenRoads Designer, PowerGEOPAK, MicroStation, ProjectWise or equivalent software);
· Experience with AutoTurn and TORUS software for roundabout design;
· Experience with CADD standards;
· Experience with Bluebeam or other electronic plan review tools.
