The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an Application Engineering Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leading development of customer applications, customer trainings, and digital content creation

• Implementing new digital tools, training, best practice replication, and new application engineering processes

• Supporting new product development, customer troubleshooting, trade shows, and global application engineering for product portfolio

• Building a deep understanding of customer needs and competition in assigned market focused areas and provide “Voice of Customer” new product ideas and competitive analysis

• Willingness to be on-call

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED from an accredited institution.

• One (1) year of graphic film industry experience in a private, public, government or military environment

• One (1) year experience using and implementing digital and virtual tools

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in graphic design (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

• Experience working with commercial graphic printers, laminators, plotters

• 5 years of experience installing graphic films on vehicles, fleet, windows, walls, floors etc.

• Preferred graphic Installer

• Computer and Microsoft office skills

• Strong communication/training skills

• Experience training on graphic film processes

• Experience in Microsoft, Adobe and InDesign software

• Spanish speaking to lead training classes in Spanish

Work location:

• Onsite: 3M Maplewood, MN

Travel: May include up to 25% Domestic/International

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $95,825 - $117,120, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
