The Impact You’ll Make in this Role The person hired for the position of Global Sustainable Business Leader will report to the President Closure & Masking Systems Division. This person will take the lead on growing this business by implementing domestic and global initiatives and projects driven from the strategic plan.
The position will interact with internal and external contacts on innovative business models, company partnerships, and business development opportunities with the packaging business.
Here, you will make an impact by:
Develop and execute a sustainable strategy for the Sustainable Packaging initiative (incubate)
Develop the appropriate business model(s) in order to extract the maximum value from the developed solutions
Drive sustainable financial growth for the new platform
Build productive, long-term relationships with new and existing key customers
Collaborate with the Global Packaging Portfolio, LVS, R&D and Area teams and to develop the Sustainable Packaging growth strategy and transform our commercialization methodologies so as to accelerate adoption of new solutions
Work cross functionally to develop appropriate supporting infrastructure including financial, supply chain, customer support
Build and develop a high performance team with the requisite skills and background to successfully develop and commercialize market leading solutions in underground and grid edge segments
In collaboration with key stakeholders, establish an ecosystem of appropriate partners that complement our strengths and solutions
Develop appropriate business models for potential new revenue streams
Frequently communicate progress to various senior stakeholders and represent this key growth business opportunity on the CMSD division OC and to other relevant stakeholders
Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Eight (8) combined years of experience in strategic planning, business development, sales, marketing, and/or general business management in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Critical thinking skills with an attention to detail
Skills include project management and ability to plan and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment
Effective interpersonal, listening and organization skills; ability to plan and prioritize multiple concurrent projects
Experience in project management
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Travel: May include up to 25% global and domestic
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
Location: Maplewood, MN
