Responsibilities

Therapists are responsible for the application of current knowledge, theory, evidence and sound clinical judgment in patient management. The therapist works closely with the patient, family and other members of an interdisciplinary team to provide efficient and effective individualized patient care. Therapists also serve as advocates and promoters of health, wellness, and fitness to all stakeholders. They serve as educators and mentors for therapy students, peers and other medical professionals.

Qualifications

Experience: Experience in evaluating and treating speech, language, cognitive and swallowing deficits preferred.

Education: Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology required. Swallowing evaluation experience preferred.

Licensure & Certification: Current Speech-Language Pathologist Licensure through the Minnesota Department of Health or Speech-Language Pathologist CFY Temporary License through the Minnesota Department of Health. American Speech and Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Certification of Clinical Competency or eligible for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). BLS Certification within 3 months of hire.

Schedule Details

Three to four days weekly between our inpatient and outpatient facilities. Hours will be dependent on shift, varying between 8:00am and 5:00pm.
