Responsibilities
The Mayo Clinic Health System department of hematology & oncology is seeking a Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join our practice in Mankato, MN. Join a team of 6 physicians (including this opportunity) and 3 advanced practice providers in the southwest Minnesota region of Mayo Clinic Health Systems. On-site chemotherapy and radiation oncology services are provided by a dedicated support team including 2 Radiation Oncologists, nursing staff, clinical pharmacist, genetic counselor, psycho-oncologist, social services, and other support staff.
The practice includes a mix of medical oncology and hematology with access to on-site clinical trials. The Division of Community Oncology has close collaborative relationships with all Mayo Clinic sites, in the Midwest as well as Arizona and Florida. Opportunities also exist for practice, research and/or teaching through partnership with Mayo Clinic Rochester Medical Oncology and Hematology.
Schedule details:
A typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 to 5 PM.
Call will be shared amongst the provider team and is assigned evenly throughout the year.
Potential outreach 1-2 days a week within the southwest MN region.
Expected patient contact hours per week is 32 hrs.
There are opportunities for clinical practice, research and/or teaching through partnership with Mayo Clinic Rochester Medical Oncology

Qualifications
Candidates must be board-certified/board-eligible in Oncology and Hematology and qualify for a Minnesota state medical license.

Compensation Detail
The minimum starting salary for medical specialties may range from $194,250 to $616,000. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
