The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) is a residential, sex offense specific treatment program in a modified therapeutic community and secure setting that provides services to over 700 individuals who have been civilly committed for sexual offending. MSOP is a national leader in the industry and is committed to providing services on the leading edge of the comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and management of clients.
MSOP is currently seeking a talented individual to join our team as an Operations Manager to provide leadership to operational support and administrative services.
Primary responsibilities include:
Providing oversight and strategic direction to the MSOP sites to support delivery of effective & cost-efficient programming and security functions.
Overseeing program infrastructure and regulation compliance ensuring timely, effective, and cost-efficient plans and structures that enhance and support a therapeutic environment.
Leadership on special projects and physical plant, IT, or other facility needs.
Represents MSOP on DCT committees, and other workgroups and facilitate communication of important changes to MSOP leadership
Development and integration of DCT-wide and divisional policy and procedures.
Supervising MSOP Director of Policy and Compliance, Safety Administrator, and Due Process & Compliance Specialist
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership experience which can include:
Experience as a supervisor, lead worker, team lead, project lead;
Completion of a State of Minnesota leadership program (e.g., ELI, L4);
Experience must include:
1+ year of experience identifying issues, goals and strategic actions.
100+ hours per year time commitment
AND
5 years’ experience managing programs, strategic planning, or directing the work of staff including:
Supervisory or leadership experience developing, training and guiding staff
Operational experience pertaining to a secure residential facility
Writing, editing policies and procedures
Evaluating, maintaining, or supporting a program or agency’s compliance/licensing activity
Interpreting and applying standards/rules to program operations, conducting incident or security related investigations, and communicating with internal/external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field such as criminal justice, public administration, business, or social science
