Eastern Bank Marketing Associate II in Lynn, Massachusetts

Eastern Bank seeks an experienced Marketing Associate to provide day-to-day support for Marketing efforts including digital marketing (social, web, content and email), and team support

This person will be responsible for managing and coordinating marketing administration and procedures, to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and the smooth functioning of Eastern’s marketing department.

This individual will provide executive administrative support to the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer as well as the Marketing department and, will be responsible for supporting all aspects of planning and management of events of different sizes and purposes including but not limited to the Annual Meeting, Board of Director meetings, Quarterly Management meetings, Social Justice and Community Advocacy events.

He/she will serve as the "gatekeeper" and in a "gateway" role, as primary contact for internal and external constituencies on matters pertaining to the CMO and the Marketing Department. This person will do vendor onboarding, submit invoices, schedule meetings, staff events..

A successful Marketing Associate will be an energetic professional who doesn't mind wearing multiple hats and has a strong ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented.

  The role will report to Marketing and Public Relations located in Boston one day per week and remotely. A successful candidate will be highly collaborative, have a service-oriented mindset, strong project management skills with the ability to marshal resources for projects. These skills will be backed by demonstrated digital marketing experience and working knowledge of contemporary marketing technology platforms. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Handle invoicing, billing and inter-departmental expense allocations and serve as liaison with the finance department to ensure efficient processing. 

  • Responsible for onboarding of new employees and vendors

  • Act as back up to department compliance coordinator for final approval of all compliance materials across the department.

  • Serve as backup for all business continuity management activities including but not limited to crisis communications.

  • Respond to standard complaints and inquiries, including any made regarding marketing activities, flag high priority issues, and refer inquiries as appropriate.

  • Scheduling of team meetings and 1:1s

  • Participating in event planning

  • Budget tracking/ACDs

  • Vendor onboarding

  • Submitting invoices to A/P

  • Monitoring corporate credit card

  • Maintain marketing budge tracking master, i.e., for free checking campaigns

  • Order giveaway items

  • Winbrook purchasing contact

  • Intranet requests forms – banners, events, tablecloths, logos

  • Respond to marketing inboxes

  • Provide audit support and collection of material requests

  • Update eTIme and record time keeping for Marketing employees (hourly and FTEs)

  • Monitor website for outages

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required plus 3-5 years of hands-on digital marketing and project management experience.

*Skills *

  • Provide support to the marketing team, assisting in daily office needs and managing the general administrative activities of the group.

  • Serve as primary liaison with ops risk and handle review of vendor applications and user access mgt. 

  • Act as administrator for Marketing intranet page and update content as needed including authoring and distributing Sales Marketing Updates, Branch Merchandising Memos etc.

  • Responsible for calendar management

  • assist with preparing for meetings, obtaining materials in advance, distributing materials, preparing meeting minutes, tracking items for follow up

  • Create and maintain system for fielding calls/emails and serve as central clearinghouse for all department and other inquiries.

  • Attend meetings, as requested, on behalf of the CMO, and follow up on meeting actions and plans.
