Eastern Bank Digital Systems Analyst in Lynn, Massachusetts

The Digital Channel Solutions division’s purpose is to move Eastern Bank into the position of a market leader in the digital channel space. Digital Channel Solutions are defined as customer-facing systems that provide access to Eastern Bank. Solutions include consumer and business online banking, mobile banking, account opening and exploring new technologies. Our division has a relentless focus on customer experience, innovation, integration, and emerging technologies and capabilities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :

System Analyst - Officer:

  • Serves as a member of an agile scrum team focusing on our digital platforms; participates in agile ceremonies

  • Works with customers, technology, business and operations partners on documenting user stories, technical specifications and acceptance criteria

  • Responsible for documenting functional designs, detailed workflows, data flows, API and system mapping, wireframes, requirement specifications, and prototypes.

  • Perform data analysis, measure, create and publish metrics that can be presented to executive leadership

  • Participate in the planning and execution of QA/UAT testing of applications.

  • Adheres to established change management controls and maintains related audit documentation

  • Performs other related digital channel analysis as requested

Project Management:

  • Follows project management best practices, Eastern Bank project governance, and is accountable for the success of digital channel assigned projects

  • Develops project support documentation for the post implementation process; including writing support procedures and outlining standard troubleshooting, as well as providing training as necessary .

  • Escalates issues or blockers to team leader for assistance

Team Effectiveness and End-User Support:

  • Collaborates with Digital Channels team members and colleagues across the bank for ongoing process improvement

  • Provide support and research for escalation of application errors or questions working with developers, end-users, and customer support team

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience or equivalent combination of training and experience. A minimum of 4 years related experience.

  • Startup experience and/or large company digital product experience.

  • Experience in a product group focusing on web and mobile applications.

  • Practical IT Solution Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)

  • Experience with developing and contributing to product backlogs in Jira, Business Requirements Documents (BRD’s), conducting Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, preforming GAP analysis, creating use case diagrams (UML), designing data flow diagrams (DFD’s), reading entity relationship diagrams (ERD’s)

  • Experience with Banking and Digital Channel Systems

  • (Optional) Business Analysis training and/or equivalent experience (IIBA, etc.)

Skills/Knowledge

  • Must be well organized and detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills and time management.

  • Must have experience with gathering requirements as well as creating user stories and test cases.

  • Must have experience with the following set of tools: Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Jira

  • Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills,

  • Mobile application development understanding or experience

  • Website development understanding or experience

  • Escalation & Issue Management

  • Experience with a variety of different development and integration methodologies

Working Conditions:

  • Open to remote workers in the following states: CT, FL, ME, MA, NH, RI, SC, VT

  • May be required to participate in after-hours application releases or testing

  • Attend several seminars/conferences each year to maintain or expand business and / or technical knowledge.
