Eastern Bank Commercial Portfolio Manager III- CRE in Lynn, Massachusetts
The PM III will support an assigned portfolio. They will demonstrate the ability to complete financial risk analysis and credit documentation with limited guidance from their manager or relationship manager. This role will also contribute to loan structuring, customer calls and should be comfortable with regular interactions with senior management.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
Policy and Procedures
In depth knowledge, compliance and application of credit policy and procedures to maintain high quality credit administration of Commercial customers with limited guidance.
Proactive accurate risk rating analysis and recommendation
Identification and documentation of exceptions to policy
Underwriting and Due Diligence
Analysis of complex financials
Contribute to transaction structuring
Engaged in credit committee presentations
Complete underwriting with clear identification of lending risks and mitigating factors
Accurate completion of the T&C within nCino
Accurate completion of RACs
Obtain and analyze industry information and offer conclusions
Portfolio Management
Monitor and complete financial covenants, financial reporting requirements, and annual reviews.
Monitor reports for expiring Maturity Date, Commitment Review Date, Commitment Renewal Date and complete renewals on time.
High quality credit file documentation
Prepare documentation for regular portfolio reviews and active engagement at regular portfolio reviews.
Ongoing monitoring of Borrower financials and follow appropriate risk management procedures.
Identify and surface risks and concerns with the RM/TL/GD.
Training Responsibilities
- Provide regular and ongoing guidance and training to the PM I / Commercial Analyst and PM II
Legal / Loan Closings
Engage in conversations and answer straightforward questions with Bank counsel with manager oversight, as needed
Knowledge of commercial lending legal documentation.
Review of the legal documents to ensure compliance with approved terms and conditions.
Technology
Master in nCino, OPTIMA, FIS, RIMs and CASH
Strong knowledge in other job specific systems like Costar, Guidestar, D&B, etc.
Business Development
Regular interaction with customers to resolve credit inquiries and obtain underwriting material information.
Provide client management support for assigned portfolio.
Special Projects
Participate in and offer a commercial lending perspective in special projects, as needed.
PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING:
The PM III will require minimal oversight and involvement from their manager, relationship manager, team leader, group head or senior PM to complete tasks. The PM III should have good problem solving and decision-making skills. Their work should be completed with mostly immaterial corrections/rewrites.
Experience and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Formal credit training preferred
3-4 years experience in commercial credit analysis
Analytical, organizational, and interpersonal service skills
Skills/Knowledge:
Strong MS Excel skills
nCino/SalesForce experience
