Tufts Medicine Psychiatric Mental Health NP in Lowell, Massachusetts
Lowell General Hospital in Lowell, Massachusetts, is now seeking a Consultation Liaison/Emergency Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner to join the team at our Magnet recognized community hospital. In this role you will evaluate and assist patients with mental health issues both in the Emergency Department and who are admitted and receiving care at Lowell General Hospital. This exempt position is 24 hours per week, day shift.
You enjoy working with patients 18 years old and older
You enjoy not only engaging patients in their treatment plans but also providing educations to family members and other staff
You enjoy working on multi-disciplinary teams
You have a strong knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses and psychopharmacology
You enjoy working independently
You ideally have 1-2 years of experience
Strong support staff teams with RN’s, Mental Health Technicians, Security and Behavioral Health Clinicians
Fast-paced setting in a region with limited psychiatric resources
