Tufts Medicine Concierge in Lowell, Massachusetts
The Concierge performs services in a designated area according to the policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives of the department and hospital. Works cooperatively within department and other services to create a system of quality health care.
Hours: 40 hours per week
Flexible shift availability between 5:30am-8:30pm required
Weekend (Saturday & Sunday) and holiday shifts required
Location: Lowell General Hospital - Main Campus
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greets patients, families and guests as they enter the hospital through the main lobby, serving as a focal point for all inquiries and provide personal attention to guests needs
Answers the patient information lines, releasing patient information when applicable. Also routes internal and external calls.
Will circulate throughout the lobby, initiating contact with customers in order to identify and address questions and concerns.
Makes “search” runs for wheelchairs ensuring the patients or visitors to the hospital are provided with necessary transportation.
Trains new volunteers in all aspects of responsibilities
Continually upgrading all information needed by the concierge employees and volunteersassuring a professional and accurate information system.
Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior security, customer service, or administrative experience.
