Role summary

LSEG, delivers truly world-changing insight based on rich content sources.

The Analytic Core team delivers and maintains an Analytic Self-Service Platform enabling the company’s “Analytics as Content” capability.

Through this framework the team supports large number Content or Data scientist teams that implements a large scope of analytics, covering all financial assets (commodities, Fixed Income, Treasury and so forth), that continuously run as services on AWS cloud and generate analytics as contents to our Realtime and non-Realtime Database of Records. That content is then consumed by a wide number of LSEG applications such as for example Front Office users (Eikon/WorkSpace) or Risk Managers

You will join the Analytic Core team. In the context of new developments to extend the services and functionality provided by our Analytic Self-Service Platform as well its recurrent maintenance activities, you will be accountable on delivering enhancements assigned to you with expected quality and timeliness.

As senior team member, with minimum 10 years work experience in the domain you will be also responsible for leading implementation designs as a proactive technical reference for other team members.

What you'll be doing:

You will integrate a team, of about 10 individuals composed of LSEG full time employees and contractors including, development, business analyst, quality assurance and agile scrum master roles, responsible for parts of the Analytic-Self Service Platform deliveries and collaborating with other teams within the company that are its inbound or outbound dependencies.

You will contribute and deliver on enhancements and maintenance of the Analytic Self-Service Platform Web Portal as a technical lead specialist. To do so we expect the following roles from you:

  • Review functional specification with the product owner /business analyst

  • Get knowledge and hands on existing system and be able to implement enhancements and maintenance whenever required.

  • Successfully embrace and deliver with company Agile method

  • Act as senior technical lead for rest of the team

  • A ‘can do attitude’, resourceful, creative, flexible with perseverance in problem resolution

  • Able to generate viable, innovative ideas and solutions to support issues

  • Able to identify issues, analyze implications, consider options and evaluate risks

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive and customer-oriented attitude

  • Act as Full Time Employee who can be able to work across the board of the technical development areas (Web frontend and backend and also devOps areas)

You'll bring:

To succeed in the role, we expect you bring at least some 10 years combined experience on the below technical domains listed in order of importance:

  • Java Script with more expertise on NodeJS and Angular.

  • Database development (PostgreSQL)

  • Asynchronous programming, multi-threading, streaming

  • AWS Development (Services & Infrastructure)

  • CICD (Git, Jenkins, AWS code Pipeline, Terraform)

  • Scripting & System level programming

  • Linux / Windows OS

  • Python

  • Excellent technical communication verbal and in writing.

  • LSEG/Refinitiv Development environments and Tools.
