GSA Solutions Business Director
This role sits within the Global Strategic Accounts function, which is accountable for driving business opportunities with global financial institutions (sell-side and buy-side). The role of the Solutions Business Director revolves around understanding customer needs from a solutions perspective and aligning internal capabilities to service these requirements. The individual should be able to demonstrate deep understanding of the customer landscape, be proactive in thinking ahead of the market dynamics, and ideate to enhance the focus on our customers’ business and technology needs. They should be able to articulate the strategic vision, roadmaps, and technology stack of LSEG to senior client stakeholders (C-Suite) and business function heads.
Key Accountabilities of the role will be:
Build a deep understanding of customers business model, organisational structure, technology environment / strategies
Identify key technology stakeholders (CTO’s, CIO’s, CDO’s, Heads of Innovation, Heads of Digital Transformation, Heads of Business Technology) and build strong relationships
Position LSEG services effectively based on defined business requirements and objectives
Oversee large / complex transformation / technology projects
Follow industry trends thinking “beyond the speed of change” and develop subject matter expertise in specific discipline i.e. Cloud, AI/ML, Blockchain
Encourage joint ideation and proof of concept engagements working with Labs and Innovation teams
Champion understanding of LSEG products, services and roadmap plans and participate in internal workshops to help refine proposition strategy based on industry trends and customer feedback
Align with sales and account management stakeholders to ensure effective communication and incorporation of broader account perspectives into technology strategy
Leverage and build strong relationships with executive sponsors promoting internal brand
Looking for someone with:
Experience and strong expertise in post trade and capital markets domain leading or managing change – primarily in Financial Services or Hi-Tech industry
Solid understanding of global market dynamics and pace of change in diverse markets along with emerging and legacy technologies and their evolution
Deep industry knowledge and technical acumen to comprehend customer’s workflow, act as trusted advisor to clients, and interpret functional and complex needs in the world on fast paced innovation. Has the capability to act as an integrator between Sales and Product Management translating business needs into high level Business and Technology strategies
Keen interest to participate or have been active in industry / technology forums, created thought leadership materials, and adept at sharing the knowledge at external and internal podiums
Keen to partner with Business and Market Development Leads, Proposition, and broader sales organisation to explore and identify new business growth areas and manage retention and sales targets
