Negotiate new purchases and renewals for Software
Negotiating new licence agreements/renewals within own scope and escalating those that are not
Engaging Stakeholders to ensure renewal is required and scale is accurate
Engaging Legal as may be required
Engaging Software Asset Management and “Procurement” mailbox team in Sri Lanka to get PO raised.
Manage the PR/PO pipeline for Software
Reviewing pipeline and Purchase Requisition queue and liaising with Software Lead and relevant Category Managers
Ensuring purchase requests meet required standards - i.e. new Software process has been followed, fully signed LSEG standard contract and statement of work in place, due diligence completed appropriately on new suppliers
Ensure Category Managers are kept informed.
Engage with key Technology stakeholders across the business and key functions such as Legal, Finance, HR to progress queries and act as a point of procurement contact, with support from the Software Lead and other Category Managers.
Engage with budget-owners to obtain key information and explain procurement processes in line with agreed process and procedures. Deal with stakeholder queries escalating as appropriate. Engage with key functions to obtain information and complete necessary actions such as supplier segmentation form. Ensure an excellent service is provided to stakeholders from within Procurement and other key stakeholders
Personal Qualities & Experience
Commercially-minded and proficient negotiator
Familiar with software licence agreements
Ability to asses and prioritise workload
Teamwork - ability to work with both a local and an off-shore Procurement team to deliver services to stakeholders
Ability to liaise with and manage suppliers
Ability to meet deadlines
Excellent general communication skills
Sound IT skills (Office programs especially)
Ability to understand and adhere to Procurement processes
Ability to maximise opportunities; i.e. challenges ways of working, adopts Group practices, seeks and provides information and clarification.
General analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Effective oral and written communication that resonates with the target audience.
Pro-active behaviour that demonstrates initiative and positive work ethic to ensure activities are delivered to the required time, budget and quality.
