LSEG Proposition Sales Specialist - FX Solutions in London, United Kingdom

We are looking for an energetic sales specialist to be a part of our high performing and dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have good FX knowledge and communication skills, and must be a fast learner. Based in London, as part of the UKI Trading Sales team, this is an amazing opportunity for someone who is hungry, with a keen interest in FX Trading. You will be responsible for driving new sales across UKI by selling our FX Solutions to both existing and new clients.

We are seeking someone who is eager to learn about the use cases for our solutions against the workflow, regulatory framework and required infrastructure associated with the entire lifestyle of FX trading across all market participants.

Working at LSEG you will have the opportunity to work closely with a wide spectrum of firms participating in FX including Central Banks, Investment Banks, corporates, asset managers and hedge funds.

You will be interacting both internally and externally with a wide range of stakeholders from technology focused teams, product designers to traders, business managers and senior decision makers.


You will be tasked with executing our strategy for long term sustainable growth of our footprint in this area through an understanding of market and competitive dynamics and will detail and drive Sales execution in UKI. The role will require the successful candidate strong direction setting and influencing skills to work with the local Account Management teams to deliver results.

  • You will responsible for pro-actively prospecting, qualifying and closing new sales opportunities .

  • Structure, negotiate and close deals with regards to our FX solutions ( Deal Tracker, FX data, FX Aggregation and the FX Primary Market)

  • Develop the sales strategy for the FX Proposition within their defined territory

  • Provide insights and share Refinitiv thought leadership on their proposition with customers

  • Deliver customer demonstrations on their specific propositions

  • Act as the ‘voice of the customer’ by feeding back product and content requirements to our Market Development teams

Your skills and attributes:

We are keen to expand the team with someone who has a long term attitude to success , are resilient and will have a great positive mindset!

We will also be looking for:

  • Sales experience, with a proven track record of selling into the financial services industry

  • A good understanding of the FX workflow including pre trade, trading and post trade.

  • Experience of selling into banks / sell-side

  • Experience of working within a Fin-Tech / selling technology solutions

  • Understanding of the Industry trends and competitor offerings within the FX space

  • A self starter who demonstrates the following characteristics – Commitment, Curiosity, Courage and Confidence

  • Strong, communication skills with a 'flexible professional attitude'

  • Comfortable communicating at all levels in an organization

  • Ability to interact with customers in a consultative, face-to-face selling environment in a way that builds value for the customer and facilitates opportunities for future sales

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving and expanding product sales environment

  • Strategic thinking skills; demonstrated ability to plan and execute sales strategies

  • A Team Player – ability to collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders to win complex deals

  • Able to travel to customer locations
