The Team:

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic team of professional specialists in the Structured Finance market. You will be responsible for representing S&P Global Ratings at market events, engaging with relevant market players and will work on the analysis of complex ABS transactions backed by both traditional and non-traditional assets across EMEA. You will report to the Structured Finance Analytical Manager, and will be working closely with a number of highly experienced industry experts with an important focus on market dynamics.

The Impact:

The successful applicant will enhance our ability to efficiently and effectively serve our clients in the EMEA ABS space by demonstrating outstanding analytical excellence and the capacity to provide relevant, insightful and compelling analysis. You will have a strong background and interest in the assets of coverage, including among others Auto Loans and Leases, Consumer loans, Credit Cards, as well as in the Countries of activity, where you will remain on top of market developments. You will have strong external engagement and presentation skills, and will be able to intelligently engage with issuers and investors, being a representative for S&P Global Ratings at high profile market events. Furthermore, you will be a key contributor to our research and thought leadership activities. This position will give the successful candidate the opportunity to plan and drive the outreach activities for EMEA Structured Finance mainly through the pillars of publications, speaking engagements, meetings and events. In this role, you will be well organized and efficient in your approach to dealing with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, as well as in your time management and problem-solving skills.

What you stand to Gain:

This position will give the successful candidate the opportunity to represent S&P Global Ratings in the EMEA ABS market with investors, regulators and industry experts, planning and driving the outreach activities through speaking engagements, meetings and conferences as well as publications. The role will have a focus on the EMEA ABS market; however, you will have the opportunity to liaise with colleagues in other regions for a wider and global perspective.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent S&P Global Ratings at high profile events and as a spokesperson in the EMEA ABS market and establish on-going dialogue with key market participants in the EMEA ABS market to build on our existing relationships and develop new relationships;

  • Coordinate with the Analytical Managers and Sector Leads in EMEA and other regions, as well as the investor relations team in relation to our outreach activities;

  • Responsible for research and analytical thought leadership content, working closely with other analysts to develop and lead activities in support of S&P Global Ratings published research and analyses;

  • Provide knowledge and insights to analytical teams and identify key local credit and market feedback and trends to escalate to the EMEA analytical leadership team;

  • Be involved in the analysis of complex deals, and proficiently write complex analytical reports;

  • Act as a senior member of rating committees and be responsible for convening and conducting rating committee deliberations in your area of expertise, including acting as the rating committee chair and assuring the integrity of the rating process;

  • Serve to establish policy, lead criteria and analytical deliberations, identify and develop needed changes/innovations in rating methodology/criteria standards and in ratings process, and ensure that analytical guidelines, quality standards, procedures and policies established are adhered to.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A bachelor’s and advanced degree is required. An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience with a deep understating of the Structured Finance sector and ABS in particular, and a very good knowledge of S&P Global Ratings Structured Finance analytical methodologies;

  • Demonstrable strong communication skills in English that will be necessary to build-on and manage relationships with key local clients and influencers, and develop new relationships as part of EMEA Structured Finance market outreach activities. Any other language is a plus;

  • Strong critical thinking skills, along with numerical strength;

  • Excellent time management and the ability to stay organized, meet deadlines, and multitask;

  • Strong vision: the ability to think locally and work globally in a collaborative and multicultural work environment is critical.
