National Grid is hiring a Enterprise Transformation Planning Principle for our Strategy & Regulation department in either Warwick or London.

You will support the development and delivery of an enterprise view of National Grid’s transformation across each strategic business unit and takes on delivery and assurance roles on specific programs in the UK. You will cultivate strong working relationship and collaborate with Strategy & Transformation and Functional teams in Transmission, Distribution, Infrastructure, and Ventures to integrate each Transformation plans and develop an Enterprise Transformation view.

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with US counterpart to support the Director of Enterprise Planning & Performance in building and maintaining the Enterprise-wide transformation plan.

  • Drive and develops executive presentations to provide insights on Enterprise Transformation progress, risks and opportunities to the CEO and Group Executives.

  • Develop and maintain forward UK agenda for enterprise transformation governance and deliverables.

  • Bring alignment between BU and functional plans (e.g., facilitation of Challenge & Review sessions, leading workshops, driving key efforts) to resolve inconsistencies across BU and Function transformation plans.

  • Bring external insights, benchmarking, best practice, innovation to help NG transform across the group business.

  • Take on Delivery and Assurance leadership roles on specific programs.

About you

  • Strong Strategy, Transformation, or Management consulting experience.

  • Project management and delivery assurance qualifications desirable (e.g., PMP).

  • Strong executive communications skills (verbal and written).

  • Capability to think strategically and facilitate discussions / alignment with cross-functional teams.

  • Planning/Roadmap development. Ensure roadmaps for BUs and Functions across the Group are relevant and consistent.

  • Ability to collaborate, iterate, and influence senior stakeholders.

  • Capability to analyse continuous improvement and business process redesign.

  • Experience working with project management methodology tools (e.g., waterfall, Gantt charts) is a plus.

  • Experience in strategic transformation projects in the Utilities / Energy industry PMO experience a plus.

What you'll get

A competitive salary between £70,000 - £75,000 – dependent on capability.

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 15% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
