Marketing is the innovative and creative arm that is responsible for the development and delivery of high-quality marketing tools that effectively communicate Cerner's key messages to all of our associates, clients, prospects, partners and investors. Through content and storytelling, executive events and trade shows, traditional and non-traditional collateral, marketing seeks to engage and inform current and prospective Cerner clients – along with the public – to promote and enhance the Cerner brand.
The Communications Partner II will play a lead role in advancing the Cerner brand and corporate reputation in the UK, Ireland and across our international markets. Working closely with our internal experts to align messages and ensure an integrated approach, the senior communications partner will help develop proactive media coverage through news announcements, managing Cerner’s online presence through our UK and Ireland social media accounts and blog, and building relationships with clients, journalists and media organisations. The communications partner II will be primarily responsible for external and internal communications strategies for the region and will also support other international markets as required.
As a Communications Partner II you will be responsible for creating and managing communication strategies through collaboration, competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification. Alongside this, you will lead collaboration with leaders and peers to gain an understanding of solutions, business strategy and the healthcare industry to create content for assigned projects. This will involve creating and curating communications from concept to completion including white papers, articles, web pages, social media, presentations, newsletters and other marketing materials. An area you will need to be experienced in is leading crisis communication management and understanding how to navigate the industry and leverage internal stakeholders to represent the business. Additionally, you will consult with stakeholders on new communication trends and platforms, creating approaches to positively leverage them or address emerging risks and will establish success measures by presenting results of communication efforts.

Salary range is £40,000-£45,000, dependent on experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or 4 years of related work experience
Plus 2 years related experience/higher education, including at least 1 year of communications, corporate affairs and/or public relations work experience
At least 1 years of business writing or communications (this may have been achieved from working as a journalist with a media publication, in a public relations consultancy or through an in-house role), corporate affairs and/or public relations work experience
Basic understanding ok UK and Ireland Healthcare Public Policy
Experience in leading internal and external communication strategy across the business
Experience in digital and social media, and in managing and growing an existing online presence
Additional language skills are desirable: French, German, Spanish, Swedish, Norwegian or Finnish
