Associate – Issuer Services – Capital Markets

Role Purpose

Reporting to the Issuer Services Marketplace Director, the Associate, Issuer Services will initially be primarily responsible for business analysis, administration, and sales support for the Issuer Services Marketplace business.

The Associate will be based in the offices of London Stock Exchange, Paternoster Square, London.

This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate in the early stages of building a successful sales and relationship management career to form the necessary experience to do so from the ground up.

Role Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Marketplace Director and working within the Issuer Services Team, the individual will be responsible for a broad range of relationship management, sales, sales support, reporting and administrative functions. Activities and responsibilities will include

  • Presenting to potential new Marketplace Members

  • Onboarding new members to the Issuer Services platform

  • Acting as a relationship manager for current members

  • Organising digital events such as webinars

  • Organising physical events when possible such as round tables and conferences (ranging in size)

  • Tracking activities associated to members

  • Promoting the Marketplace as a business both internally and externally

  • Always be looking for opportunities to directly connect Marketplace members with potential clients.

  • Gathering, coordinating and presenting management information

  • Managing the sales pipeline including using the CRM tools.

  • Work with Marketing and external agencies to ensure that sales collateral is effective and up to date.

  • Presenting the wider Issuer Services platform and associated services to new LSE issuers and established ones.

  • Efficiently and cooperatively follow all company policies of in-house counsel, finance and administration

  • Ensuring that all files and records relating to Marketplace members is kept in good order.

Candidate Profile / Key Skills

  • Demonstrable relationship management skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders across all levels

  • Show experience in sales with proven track record in sales administration, support and/or execution – an ambition to develop a sales career

  • Excellent knowledge of, and experience in, the financial markets

  • Self motivating and resilient

  • Must show the ability to demonstrate and encourage collaboration with peers

  • Commercially focused and ability to demonstrate urgency, drive and enthusiasm

  • Ability to manage demanding performance targets

  • Ability to work to schedules and ad-hoc business critical asks in a timely manner

  • Adept at operating both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to develop and maintain good relations with Issuer Services and Primary Markets management and fellow staff members

  • Cooperative in following and supporting the goals set by Issuer Services management

  • Excellent verbal and written communications abilities

  • Excellent Communication Skills

  • Strong MS PowerPoint and Excel Skills

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure with constructive and professional Work Capabilities

  • A team player, respectful of business governance and adherence to company policies

  • Exceptional presentation skills

  • Management of activities and duties to successful conclusion by planning, prioritising and resourcing effectively

  • Proven Interpersonal Skills

  • Able to work in an entrepreneurial environment and take both direction and exhibit initiative where need be

  • Willingness to learn and be open minded to new ideas and change
