Machine Operator - 3rd shift

A local manufacturer is looking for qualified Machine Operators to join their busy and expanding company whose roots go back nearly 90 years! We have opportunities on ALL SHIFTS and are willing to work with dedicated people of various levels of Machinist experience. Responsibilities

The Machine Operator / Machinist

• Tends metal fabricating screw machines and conventional turn machines

• The machines types may include Hydromat, Acme, Tornos, Schutte, Royal Master Grinding and Index multi-spindle machines

• Also deal with support equipment like tool grinders, leak testers, coiners, presses, and inspection equipment.

• Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, template or manufacturing data sheets.

• Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.

• Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation and quality of output.

• Adds oil to machine using pump truck and/or 5 gallon pails.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 30lbs
