GEHA Intern, Dental Health Advocate in Lee’s Summit, Missouri

SKILLS

The Dental Plans department has an exciting opportunity to learn about development and implementation of dental plan design and member outreach and education programs aimed to improve health outcomes. Oral health is a vital part of overall health and wellness. We are looking for someone who is interested in helping GEHA Dental Plans Department research and evaluate current best practices for outcome based programs for dental health. The intern will conduct research into market trends, provide analysis of member demographic data, participate in interdepartmental meetings to produce collaboration projects and help develop marketing materials. We are looking for someone with experience with Microsoft office programs such as word and excel.

Additional duties will be determined by the department sponsor.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3.0 overall GPA

  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Good analytical skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Demonstrated initiative both independently and within a team

  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook and Word
