SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The CPD Instructional Design Specialist, Career is a functional/subject matter expert accountable for working with faculty, internal and external subject matter experts (SME’s), and vendors to design and develop synchronous, asynchronous and blended educational activities, incorporating educational technology as appropriate, that achieve learner and specialty educational outcomes. The CPD Instructional Design Specialist, Career, is a member of the CPD Career Pillar Team.

Bachelor’s degree or through equivalent work experience, plus at least 4-6 years of related professional experience. Experience with instructional design in a healthcare setting required. Previous experience with Learning Management Systems and demonstrated experience in the development of technology-facilitated education, particularly interactive video-based activities, for adult learners required. Experience in Continuing Medical Education, Adult Learning Theory, Curriculum Design Theory, Educational Research Methods, and Healthcare preferred. Ability to understand and apply ACCME Essentials and Standards for Commercial Support, and other applicable laws or regulations with which AAFP-provided CME must comply. Excellent oral/written communication skills; ability to work individually and in teams; and the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and deliverables required.
