Canadian Tire Digital content specialist, temporary in Laval, Quebec

What you’ll do

  • Optimize consumer experience with targeted and innovative communications to make Sports Experts and Atmosphere the benchmark sports retailers, contributing to sales, store visits, purchase frequency and customer engagement on e-commerce sites.

  • Responsible for scheduling the publication of brand and product blogs, booklets, technical guides, PLP pages, as well as their implementation; planning, briefing, realization, validation and delivery.

  • Serve as in-house expert on topics, audiences and tonality for different targets. Strengthen the relationship Sports Experts has with its online visitors by managing different audiences. Collaborate with external partners and internal teams on targeting and other customer journey projects.

  • Responsible for establishing the bank of expert writers according to requirements, recommending external writers for mandates, managing contracts and the associated budget.

  • Responsible for shaping the editorial component of campaigns and working on optimal communications depending on the target, consumer insight and the USP produced. Initiate content ecosystem brainstorming, develop the brief for the copywriter, use strategic judgment to select and define campaign lines

  • Work as first contact with the e-commerce team for all matters concerning long-lasting content and campaign direction links. Lead and participate in key joint projects, analyze results and make strategic recommendations, and share results with the wider marketing team.

  • Responsible for designing content strategies and the editorial angle of content that includes product insights based on season briefs from the planning team, as well as SEO and traffic data from the e-commerce team.

  • Responsible for collaboration with the various channel managers to convey audience and product specifics to increase quality and consistency across all touch-points.

  • Develop post-mortems based on performance reports from blog and technical guide initiatives, and presents analysis to improve customer insight.

  • Oversee the monitoring of internal and external approvals of all content under their responsibility.

  • Participate in the creation of A/B tests in production and distribution strategies.

  • Monitor the competition and make recommendations.

What you bring

  • Undergraduate degree in marketing or communication

  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in managing marketing campaigns

  • Understanding of traditional, digital, and social media marketing channels

  • Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)

  • Bilingual, English and French (oral and written)

  • Experience in the retail sector (an asset)

  • Knowledge of the sports world, fashion, and the practice of sport (an asset)
