Pfizer Director, Customer & Channel Management in Lake Forest, Illinois

At a time of rapid market evolution, account consolidation, increasing account influence and a shift in the definition of value in the oncology marketplace, Pfizer Oncology has built a leading customer and channel management function supporting the Oncology Accounts Group and the National Accounts Team. The Pfizer Oncology portfolio has grown to 20+ products and includes market-leading breast cancer and prostate cancer medicines, emerging market leadership in bladder and blood cancers, a leading portfolio of precision medicines with complex diagnostic challenges, a leading oncology biosimilars portfolio, and a mix of oral and IV products with very complex but different distribution and provider cost recovery dynamics.

The Director, Oncology Customer & Channel Management will be a key member of the Oncology organization focused on innovative customer and channel strategy and analytics for the largest oncology group practices and growing Community Oncology Aggregators in support of the full portfolio of products.

The Director, Oncology Customer & Channel Management will report directly to the National Accounts Team Leader of the Oncology Accounts Group.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain and advance GPO and aggregator channel management - the integration of product strategy, GPO/aggregator contract design, contract performance, and execution and the mastery of analytics across data sets

  • Lead high profile cross functional efforts including primary accountability for strategy, design and execution of the most innovative transactional arrangements with organizations of growing data sophistication

  • Act as National Accounts liaison to Portfolio Acceleration team. Partner to build analytics dashboards to track and inform brand teams of trends in oncology large group practice and provider network customer segment.

  • Responsibility for formulating Value Based Contracting strategy, performing analytics around potential VBAs and performance of in-market VBAs, and leading customer interactions as we build out provider VBAs across the portfolio and across co-promotes

  • Partner with National Account Directors as the lead support for efforts to advance to innovative partnerships with GPOs / large Oncology network aggregators

  • Build out a comprehensive Pfizer Oncology Buy and Bill overview with focus on provider contracting dynamics (market overview, competitive landscape, buy and bill dynamics, pricing & contracting considerations).

  • Lead efforts to conduct organized provider customer experience research. Set baseline and track customer engagement impact and competitive activity over time.

  • Work with the National Accounts Team Leader and Oncology Accounts Group Lead on project-based work supporting the Organization

  • Specifically assess opportunities and analyze performance in Community Oncology provider practice networks (e.g., ONE Oncology, Athena, AON, Solaris) andcustomer archetypes

  • Synthesize insights re: oncology large group practices and large provider networks to inform account strategies

  • Help lead new value definitions enablement planning and execution

  • Partner with Oncology Solutions Account Directors and Key Account Directors, sales leaders, portfolio and customer brand marketers to integrate aggregator and GPO insights into sessions at National Meetings, quarterly reviews and operating plans

  • Work with OSAD, KAD and Sales teams to enable account cross functional teams to mobilize around local market dynamics with analytics and training

  • Track metrics for success

  • Develop and execute oncology GPO and aggregator insights, briefs and training for a range of Oncology HQ and customer facing colleagues

Qualifications:

Required 7 years pharmaceutical industry experience strong preference for those with Market Access or Contracting experience. Marketing channel management and/or strategic planning experience is a plus.

• Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred

• Track record of strong performance, teamwork, creativity

• Strong strategic and analytical thinking abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Acts decisively

• Demonstrated execution and project management skills, with an ability to work very proactively and under tight timelines

• Teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues from multiple functional areas

• Strong Leadership experience preferred

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities Preferred

• Experience in Oncology marketplace is preferred

• Experience in account management or account management support functions

• Managed Care or Customer Strategy experience and in depth understanding of the healthcare market This is an individual contributor role.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
