Sutter Health Administrative Coordinator (Full Time, Day) in Lafayette, California
This position oversees and/or performs a wide variety of administrative, secretarial and program support activates on behalf of the department(s) senior management team. Servers as primary point of operational and administrative contacts with internal and external staff, patients and vendors. Manages special projects which may include data collection, report generation, maintenance of department files and outlook schedules. May be assigned to work on complex and confidential issues.
HS Diploma required or equivalent education/experience.
Associate's preferred or equivalent education/experience.
Bachelor's preferred or equivalent education/experience.
Licensures and Certifications
Administrative Assistant Certification preferred.
2-4 years of experience working as an administrative coordinator or administrative support role required, preferably in a healthcare environment.
Advance education and minimum of 5 years of experience is highly desired for some departments, refer to your department addendum.
Skills and Knowledge
Demonstrated knowledge of data entry, word processing, window applications, spreadsheets and/or databases
Knowledge of Sutter Health System and/or other healthcare organizations is strongly desired
Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access is required
Proficiency with Outlook features of Public Folders, E-Mail and calendaring in multiple calendar
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening) with ability to work effectively across the organization, especially in situations requiring instructing, persuading, negotiating, resolving conflict, and advising.
Ability to perform complex tasks, prioritize multiple projects, and work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to type 50-60+ wpm
Highly proficient in all applications of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word and Outlook
Must be proficient in grammar, spelling, punctuation and proofreading
Must have strong organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with and collaborate across the organization as needed
Ability to maintain composure during challenging interpersonal interactions
Ability to process requests quickly, accurately, and consistently with minimal supervision
Applies moderate mental application and concentration to handle multiple interruptions
Ability to work with others in a flexible and cooperative manner
Basic math skills for completing and auditing expense reports
Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information according to organizations policies
Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
