Plans and supervises the activities of an assigned section within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (DPLM); ensures adherence to quality assurance and record keeping standards; and provides leadership, technical assistance and training of employees for the provision of accurate, valid, and timely test results .

Supervision of all testing performed in the Laboratory section and in decentralized testing assigned to section.
Supervision of personnel
Development, oversight, and enforcement of quality assurance activities for the section in collaboration with the Technical/Medical Director
Evaluation, implementation and maintenance of methods and instrumentation in collaboration with the Technical/Medical Director
Maintains general operations within the Laboratory section
Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years experience Prior experience working in a clinical Laboratory setting is required without substitution.
One of the following Licenses and Certifications required upon hire :
Certification in a Lab Specialty or License
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $33.88/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
Remote Work/Work from Home
This position is not eligible work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
