The SLP-III is an independent licensed provider of medical speech-language pathology services for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders, and demonstrates expert skills in practice of pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders. In addition to management of a full patient caseload, the SLP performs non-clinical duties such as program management, quality improvement, or presentations. This position is a four day a week position and may be a combination of outpatient and inpatient feeding and swallowing services.

In accordance with certification and licensure standards, expertly performs and documents diagnostic and therapeutic interventions and procedures to evaluate, diagnose and treat communication and swallowing disorders.
Represents CMH to the community through education, research, teaching, professional presentations, preparation of clinical materials and working with community organizations.
Serves as a clinical expert and mentor.
Participates in activities to increase the quality, efficiency and outcomes of patient care.
Master's Degree Speech-Language Pathology and 5-7 years experience Pediatric experience preferred

ASHA CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) Required Upon Hire
Experience in completing baruim swallow studies is preferrred.
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $31.75/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

This position is not eligible work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
