Job Description:

As a Sr. Consultant on Cerner's Patient Accounting team, you will advise clients on workflows across service lines, and guide clients through interdependencies and design decision impacts. You will create strategic plan with client to obtain value achievement across service line. You will identify workflow and process improvements and make recommendations to client and project leadership. You will drive cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders to identify and propose solution enhancements, workflow efficiencies and client relationship strategies. You will engage in the sales process to assist with accurate quoting of contractual scope and hours. In addition, you will contribute to organizational initiatives

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of total combined higher education and related work experience, including:

  • At least 2 year of healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting, HCIT support and/or other client-facing or HCIT solution work experience

  • At least 6 years of experience with Higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job

  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position

  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of Health care information technology (HCIT) consulting or support work experience

  • Responsible for driving client-specific solution configuration design, testing, and communications

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, workflows, Revenuecycle.exe

  • Cerner Millennium, Patient Access workflows, Front Office workflows

Expectations:

  • Willing to travel up to 50% as needed

  • Must reside in an already virtually approved location, or live in the Kansas City, MO area

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
