Job Description:

Cerner is looking for a Product Owner, previously referred to as Solution Designer. As a Product Owner you will lead the scrum teams and collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product. In this role you will work with cross-functional teams, and various stakeholders, including analytics, design/user experience, engineering, and user enablement. The responsibilities in this role also include translating product roadmap features into well-defined product requirement including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria. As a Product Owner you will provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements. You will ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on. As part of your role you will also plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product. Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy are also a part of your responsibilities in this role.

As a Product Owner you will develop appropriate detailed specifications for the product features, so they are clearly understood by the development teams and participate in iteration planning and elaboration of the user stories. Additionally, you will provide an active role in mitigation impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprite Goals and, keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practice and new trends.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 3 years of product testing, product design, product strategy, health care information technology (HCIT) consulting or other relevant product-related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of Agile, lean ort Six Sigma work experience

  • At least 2 years Health care information technology (HCIT) work experience.

  • At least 2 years of Patient Access work experience
